I picked out the show for each state throughout the year -- except for California. Since there are so many television shows set and especially filmed in California, I needed help in choosing, so I turned to the good listeners of the podcast TV Talk Machine. Throughout the year, I tweeted the show we were watching, and hosts Jason Snell and Tim Goodman would forward the information to their audience.
This week, there was a listener meet up at The 21st Amendment, a bar in San Francisco, and the group voted from a list of twenty California TV shows (five 20th century dramas, five 21st century dramas, five 20th century comedies and five 20th century comedies). Two shows received far more votes than any of the others. Silicon Valley (2014) received the second highest number of votes, and the biggest vote getter was:
50) California - Arrested Development (2003) - Netflix
